Week Three Prompt 2

I have chosen to write about special education. I would like to research more about special education teaching and what is required as a special education teacher. I also want to do research on the kinds of problems and struggles a child or teenager with a mental disability may encounter in school. Along with that, I will research different methods of teaching special needs students. I will learn about different teaching tactics that can be used to make learning easier for children and teenagers with mental disabilities.
The reason I have decided to do my research on special education is because that is what I want to do with my life, be a high school special education teacher. Because this is what I want my career to be, this research will be beneficial to me as well as anyone else who also wants to learn more about special education and reads my findings.
The people who will make up a majority of my audience will most likely be other future special education teachers. I believe this because those people will probably be the ones to most benefit from writings. Parents of young children with mental disabilities may also benefit from this topic. They will be able to learn more about what their child will experience when they begin school. Some of the teaching methods can also be helpful when they are working with their child at home.
